Very good job. Common Sense skeptic is a charlatan who has an axe to grind with Elon musk personally and therefore is extremely biased in all of the videos

You completely overlooked one important fact! Starlink has no contract or cancellation fees. Viasat and HughesNet have both. I had HughesNet, it's not even in the same ballpark as Starlink.
So you skipped over the 3min introduction where CSS outlines how much of a scumbag Elon Musk is so that you can attack the "completely unsubstantiated claim" that people were just putting Dishy on the ground. WOW this is a groundbreaking takedown!!!
1. Who the f cares whether or not that claim was true? What the hell difference does it make?
2. They didn't even present it as an empirical claim. They just said "from the looks of it people are doing this..." Yet you attacked it as if it were an empirical claim.
Really bad start to this. Not bother to read the rest.
So you skipped over the first paragraph where I explained that not only was this not a defense of Elon Musk, but that I consider him to be immoral? WOW this a groundbreaking comment!!!
CSS thought it was important enough to include in his video, take it up with him. I pointed out how it's not a real, empirical claim, but it's typical of the kind of time-filling garbage CSS puts in his videos: "Sadly, this is typical of the quality of argument they make across their videos. There are no statistics, no polling, no numbers, just four pictures attempting to prove a point."
I'm not the one who chose to make that an issue related to Starlink at all, CSS was. You're angry at the wrong person, be angry at him for making a crappy video and yourself for taking it as gospel.
"Really bad start to this. Not bother to read the rest. " Considering that wasn't the start to this, but approximately 750 words into the article, not counting the disclaimer or introduction, that's a really bad end to your comment.
I'm sure you did read more, though, and I'm sure you didn't like the actual facts. I've dealt with enough CSS fans to recognize this kind of behavior. It's completely impossible to deny that there are equipment fees for the other providers, for example. So you pick an unimportant point(which I said was unimportant) and act like that somehow validates your belief in CSS. Nice try, keep your head in the sand.
By the way, pointing out any false or misleading claims about Musk on the part of CSS would not necessarily make you a fan or defender of Musk. It would make you someone who is interested in the truth and helping others believe things that are true.
As you have aptly demonstrated, people gravitate toward what they view as the weakest criticism and use that as justification to ignore the rest. Any defense of Musk on my part, no matter how true, would be(and has been in the past so frequently that I simply gave up on it) what was used.
Besides, Musk is a garbage human being. I have no interest in defending him. People can believe whatever lies they want about him, they'll be no worse than the truth.
You consider a remark that took 3 seconds to make in a 43 minute video "time filling"? If anyone is trying to fill out anything, its you trying to make this article longer in an attempt to portray it as a comprehensive criticism.
"Considering that wasn't the start to this, but approximately 750 words into the article"
Uh no. I consider the start point to be when you claim something CSS said was false or misleading and demonstrate it as such. Starting this with a focus on a throwaway remark that has no bearing on anything else in the video demonstrates to me that you aren't interested in an honest discussion about the subject matter.
Edit: I decided to look through and see if you made any other immediate silly comments and saw that you made the claim that the redditor with the damaged cable "explains that SpaceX sent him a new dish, no charge." Thats not what they're comment said. They said that they were sent a new dish. They did not specify whether or not they had to pay for it. And so what if they didn't have to pay? Does that mean anyone can get a free replacement at any point? Was this known at the time of CSS's video? How does this make CSS's comment that "you may have to pay for a new dish" bunk?
Read what I wrote again. "Sadly, this is typical of the quality of argument they make across their videos. There are no statistics, no polling, no numbers, just four pictures attempting to prove a point." It's a pattern of behavior that is anathema to actual skepticism, which is why it's worth pointing out. CSS portrays himself as something he is not.
You can consider not-the-start of an article to be the start, it's an interesting new language you're inventing. Don't let me stop you. Again, I started where CSS started. The fact that you're putting so much effort into trying to find parts of my article you think are irrelevant while ignoring the vast bulk is extremely telling.
And don't start with me about honest discussion. You have ignored, and continue to ignore, simple factual errors CSS made. I even pointed one out in my reply to you, but you ignored that as well. You're not interested in honest discussion, you're interested in justifying to yourself a way to dismiss all of my points by focusing heavily on one you think isn't very important, all while ignoring how I pointed out in the article that it was a silly thing in the first place.
"I decided to look through and see if you made any other immediate silly comments..." Exactly proving my point. You're not interested in the facts, you're interested in trying to find whatever stands out to you as justifying your existing beliefs.
Yes, they were sent a new dish. They didn't purchase a new dish. That is the language one uses when they describe *being sent* a replacement device. And yes, it was known at the time of CSS' video. The comment was made almost 4 months before the video premiered.
You said " Also notice that the article they link lists median speeds as high as 93.1 mbps for an entire county, "
Your source says this:
Starlink’s lowest median download speed was 40.4 Mbps in Columbia County, Oregon. Its highest median download speed was 93.1 Mbps in Shasta County, California
You either mis-read, or you bank on people not to fact check your facts...
I'm not sure where you're getting confused. I said they reported median speeds up to 93.1 mbps, you quoted them reporting median speeds up to 93.1 mbps.
I didn't say 93.1 mbps was the median speed for everywhere.

"Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth. Sooner or later that debt is paid."
If someone really is garbage, lies should be unnecessary. A desire to lie is an implicit admission that your opinions have no basis in truth.
